Esta serie — Panorama — surge desde una práctica abierta que explora la relación entre experiencia, memoria y espacio pictórico. Ya en mis inicios, en 2005, Pedro de Oraá señalaba: “Convencido de la diversidad coexistente del universo en torno, el artista elige en razón de su sensibilidad aquellos aspectos que le son afines, fueren o no homogéneos, y los unifica gracias al estilo”. Esa mirada hoy se hace aún más evidente en mi obra, donde me he ido liberando de estilos rígidos y de la repetición acomodada del oficio, permitiendo que cada serie encuentre su propio lenguaje sin perder coherencia y que en cada obra se experimente una creación espontánea y libre.

Los veleros evocan el mar como espacio de tránsito, memoria y horizonte, marcado por la historia de la emigración y por la experiencia íntima de navegar y contemplar, pero también por la migración como necesidad vital en busca de libertad. Las casas y el urbanismo, desde mi formación como arquitecto, remiten al acto de habitar y a la búsqueda de refugio. Ambas imágenes se entrelazan como metáforas de la necesidad de pertenecer y de encontrar un lugar, configurando tramas que pueden leerse como paisajes subjetivos donde convergen lo individual y lo colectivo.   

A través de la repetición y la materia pictórica, la pintura se despliega como una cartografía sensible del desplazamiento, la pertenencia y la memoria. Mis series se entienden como un proceso continuo, donde cada cuerpo de trabajo dialoga con los anteriores y comparte elementos comunes, revelando una práctica en permanente evolución.

  This series — sailboats and houses — emerges from an open practice that explores the relationship between experience, memory, and pictorial space. Early in my career, in 2005, Pedro de Oraá noted: “Convinced of the coexistence of diversity within the surrounding universe, the artist chooses, according to his sensitivity, those aspects that resonate with him — whether homogeneous or not — and unifies them through style.” This perspective is even more evident in my work today, where I have gradually freed myself from rigid styles and the comfortable repetition of established methods, allowing each series to find its own language while maintaining coherence, and enabling a spontaneous and free act of creation to be experienced in every work.

The sailboats evoke the sea as a space of transit, memory, and horizon, marked by the history of migration and by the intimate experience of navigating and contemplating, but also by migration as a vital necessity in the search for freedom. The houses and urban landscapes, informed by my background as an architect, refer to the act of dwelling and the search for refuge. Both images intertwine as metaphors for the need to belong and to find a place, forming structures that can be read as subjective landscapes where the individual and the collective converge.

Through repetition and the materiality of paint, the work unfolds as a sensitive cartography of displacement, belonging, and memory. My series are understood as a continuous process, where each body of work dialogues with the previous ones and shares common elements, revealing a practice in constant evolution
